After 14 years, Logan’s View Winery is closing its shop and winery.
Over the years, Logan’s View Winery has won 25 awards in PA wine competitions. The winery is known for their fruit wines including Strawberry, Cherry, Blueberry and Apple; all made from fruit grown locally at Brown’s Orchards. The winery’s offerings extend beyond the fruits to include a nice selection of dry to sweet whites and complex reds.
It all started as a group of friends hanging out in a local vineyard at harvest time. They’d meet on Saturday mornings with gloves and clippers in hand; chatting about the Friday night football game and week-end plans while clipping grape bunches. The camaraderie that was formed and the passion for winemaking, led eighteen friends to open Logan’s View Winery in southern York County in April 2008.
With increased family commitments, the partners found that they could no longer give the winery the attention it deserved. Logan’s View Winery operations began to wind down after the last harvest and bottling earlier this year. The group decided they will close when they run out of wine! An official closing date has not been set but they are looking at the end of 2022.
Fans of LVW can still purchase their favorite wines at the retail shop inside Brown’s Orchards & Farm Market. The shop is open Tuesday through Saturday 10am-6pm and Sunday 11am-5pm.
